Marinated Raw Steak and Pan Fried Veggies

This is a sweet and savory meal that takes minutes to prepare and will satisfy a hearty appetite. It is best to make it ahead of time and let it soak int he marinade for a few hours. However, it can also be eaten immediately after placing in the marinade. The marinade can also be used as a sauce to pour over the meat.

Ingredients:

Grassfed Steak of your choice

Marinade Mixture to make 1/2 cup which will go over one steak:

1–Mix in a small bowl using a fork or whisk

  • honey (1-2 tsp)
  • fresh ginger root (1 tsp.)
  • cardamom (1/2 tsp)
  • coriander (1/2 tsp.)
  • vinegar and/or lemon juice (1/2 cup total)
  • olive oil (3 TBSP)–optional
  • salt (1/2 tsp.)

2–Place steak in a shallow glass or ceramic dish and cover with the marinade mixture.

3–When serving, cut into small pieces either on a cutting board or using kitchen scissors. (Or feel free to sear each side of the steak in coconut oil or lard if you don’t like it 100% raw).

Pan Fried Veggies:

Use whatever variety of veggies you have and like. In the picture there is: red onions, bock choy, and raddichio.

1–Preheat pan and put a spoonful of coconut on bottom.

2–Place veggies in the hot oil and stir with wooden spoon to coat with oil

3–Cover pan with lid and let cook in it’s own steam for about five minutes.

4–Serve and eat!
