- Each jacket and 65 liter packpack comes with a bar of pure beeswax (extra bars available).
- Products arrive with a base layer of wax, giving it some water resistance, but not complete waterproofing.
- Rub the beeswax bar evenly across the surface of your product.
- Use a blow dryer for a few minutes to melt the wax into the fibers.
- Test your jacket/backpack in the rain—if water soaks in more than you like, reapply another coat.
- When the wax is correct, the inside will feel damp but not allow rain to come in past that stage.
Re-waxing strengthens water resistance, deepens fabric character, and connects you to the craft of natural gear maintenance.
