WeatherWool is a tightly woven worsted wool fabric made from domestically raised wool and milled in the United States. It is undyed and receives no chemical finishing.

Compared with the softer knitted Merino liner, the WeatherWool liner provides:

A sleeping bag cannot compensate for inadequate insulation beneath your body. Always pair the Aurora with a sleeping pad appropriate for the expected ground temperature.

Designed to Enclose the Head in Severe Cold

The Aurora is long enough to pull over the head during especially cold conditions.

Because wool remains breathable and manages moisture vapor, enclosing the head can create a warmer internal environment without the same clammy sensation associated with many less breathable materials.
