The Lucky Sheep® Beeswaxed Canvas Ground Cloth brings a simple, traditional material back into the modern camp: cotton canvas protected with a natural beeswax finish.
Measuring a generous 60″ x 80″, it creates a comfortable natural-fiber surface beneath your sleeping system, whether spread directly over dry ground or layered over the Lucky Sheep® Silnylon Ground Sheet when moisture protection is needed.
A Natural Surface Between You and the Ground
There is something distinctly different about making camp on canvas rather than plastic. The fabric has a substantial, quiet feel and creates a welcoming surface for laying out your sleeping bag, blanket, clothing, and other gear.
The beeswax treatment adds water resistance while preserving the character of the canvas. On reasonably dry ground, the Ground Cloth can be used by itself for a simple, minimal camp.
When the ground is wet or prolonged moisture exposure is expected, place the Silnylon Ground Sheet underneath. The silnylon provides the primary moisture barrier while the beeswaxed canvas gives you the natural surface you actually sleep and live on.

Important Care Note
Beeswaxed cotton is a natural material and should not be left continuously against damp ground. Prolonged exposure to ground moisture without adequate drying can eventually cause cotton canvas to mildew or mold.
Use the Ground Cloth directly on the earth when conditions are reasonably dry. In damp or wet conditions, use it over the Lucky Sheep® Silnylon Ground Sheet. After use, allow the canvas to dry thoroughly before folding and storing it.
With proper care, the result is a versatile piece of traditional outdoor gear that can accompany you for years.
